Charles & Ralphie

About

The Canadian duo Charles & Ralphie got their start in early 2007 when traveling through the U.S. in search of new beginnings. They quickly started playing shows and writing unique music about day to day life. Two things were for certain, they loved banana spinach smoothies and hated Pollen On My Car.

While this album does not have any explicit content, it is still marked as parental advisory because I never fully trusted Charles and Ralphie, and I don’t think parents should either. So do be advised. Their antics may rot your and your children’s brains with nonesense!

This is a test

When they came to my studio to record their first set of tracks, they wanted to focus on living in the present. Thus, the album starts with ‘This is a Test’.

Chinatown

At the time, they were residing in Old Town Chinatown near the Pearl District in Portland, OR. Hence, track two is all about their first visit scoping out the city and all it has to offer.

Pollen On My Car

However, after they had settled in the area they noticed one large issue. The Pacific Northwest has a heft Spring season that brings tons of new flowers and foliage. Charles and Ralphie soon realized the big issue the pollen in the city. Not just on their car, but everyone’s car. This is the imputus of track three, Pollen On My Car- because sometimes you have twigs flying out of your rearview mirror.

While I haven’t seen Charles and Ralphie is quite a few years now, I hear they are doing good and off on their own respective adventures.

These tracks have been set for release in the upcoming months so check back regularly or check our updates section.
