Bud Production Studios
Welcome to Bud Production Studios. I’m BDoc, the founder, and have been writing, recording, and producing solo and group projects for over twenty years. I’m a neuroscientist by profession, but music is my passion. This site offers a range of free audio content, artist biographies, as well as music production and licensing services.
I was raised on the West Coast and grew up playing guitar and learning piano on cheap garage sale keyboards. Now living in Western Massachusetts, I’m working on finishing old projects, putting out new solo albums, and have placed a lot of focus on the upcoming JXB album. I’m also posting music from multiple up and coming artists for streaming and/or purchase.
As these projects are released and artists are listed, you’re sure to find something for everybody – whether it’s hard rock, hip-hop, or ambient acoustics. If you’re interested in listing your band please reach out!
Origins
My musical journey started with a $60 used acoustic guitar in the late 90’s and is inspired by decades of advances in music technology. I was in a range of garage rock bands throughout high school and was always attracted to capturing good audio. I funding my music gear by working at Dairy Queen where I would write lyrics then head home to write beats.
The production name of Bud Production Studios came about in the early 2000’s after buying a microphone and discovering Garageband for the first time. I started recording friends, bands, and making beats. The name stuck and has continued as my production name since.
The pseudonym artist and producer name BDoc was given in the early 2010’s while working with the rap group Three Sides of the Game (T.S.G.). It has since stuck as my solo artist name.
